DTF printing, or Direct to Film printing, is a method where designs are printed onto a special film and then transferred to garments or other substrates using a heat press.
Designs are printed in reverse onto a special release film using a compatible printer and ink. After printing, the film is placed onto the substrate (e.g., T-shirt). Heat and pressure are applied using a heat press to transfer the design from the film to the substrate.
DTF printers are specialized for this process, typically using solvent-based inks that can adhere to the film and transfer effectively.
